Sustainable Food Systems Feb 2015

Every Sunday from January 18 until March 8

What could be more important than feeding ourselves daily? Do you ever wonder how food is grown in the farmlands around you? Perhaps you’re wondering what it means to be ‘organic’ and how you can afford it? What does it mean to be sustainable? Are genetically modified foods good for us and the environment that supports us?

THEMUSEUM is delighted to present its Sustainable Food Systems Dialogues, taking place for 8 weeks on Sundays at 1:30pm, beginning January 18, 2015 until March 8, 2015… including a special presentation by Rachel:

Food Democracy: Our Right to Know

by Rachel Parent

Sunday February 8, 2015

Rachel’s discussion will focus on food safety for all Canadians, and the importance of working together as a global community to create more awareness about Genetically Modified foods by demanding and making mandatory GMO labelling a law in Canada.

Please join us to sample the fresh cultural content we have foraged for you. We expect you will walk away satiated after sampling the diverse voices, and nourishing your connection to the amazing food resources that our region offers.
